In my life this week…
I've been doing the post-Feast clean & laundry. I've also been trying to get everything ready for starting school on Monday. I'm excited to get started and I have two things to buy (one e-book, one organizing tool) and then I think I'm ready! Sunday night I'll fill out our first week in the planner!
In our homeschool this week…
We had a couple of field trips this week and our Friday WAHF meeting, even though our school year doesn't actually start until this coming Monday!
Helpful homeschooling tips or advice to share…
Create a schedule that works for you and your family. Don't feel that you must start school on a specific day or take breaks when someone else says. I love starting when it's right for my family and taking breaks when we need them, not when we are told too!
Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
Red Ridge - Oregon Olive Mill on Tuesday. Philip Foster Farm on Thursday {post coming}. WAHF for PE today. We also went to see these guys on Thursday night.
Sidewalk Prophets!!!
Matthew West and Jason Castro were there too,
but we really just went to see these guys.
My favorite thing this week was…
The concert for sure! We love the Sidewalk Prophets and Matthew West was really good!
My kiddo's favorite thing this week was...
He says he liked everything! He really liked the PE class with WAHF but he also really enjoyed the concert.
Questions/thoughts I have…
Do I have everything ready for Monday? Does anyone really have 'everything' ready?
I’m reading…
I just started Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. My hubby has been telling me to read it for a while. After a couple of books from the Only in Gooding series by Cathy Marie Hake {Inspirational Historical Romance} it'll be nice to get into some Fantasy!
I’m cooking…
Lots of stuff! I did a great job sticking to my menu this week! Tonight's dinner of salmon, sweet potato fries and salad was superb!
I’m grateful for…
Our local homeschool group. A super hardworking hubby. A variety of food choices. Hugs and kisses from my 10 year old.
I rewarded my kid this week by...
He got a couple gummy worms for 'beating' me at cleaning this afternoon! He did a great job sprucing up the living room for the Sabbath!
A photo, video, link, or quote to share…
Reading a book at the library with friends!
I love how all the kids play and read together in our homeschool group!

I love starting school when we want even though it often earns us weird looks!
