- I am loving our time spent at the Oregon Garden! Our goal has been to go every week, although we have missed a couple weeks since we started in January because of weather or sickness. When we do go it's always a blast! We meet another family up there and fill our buckets with friends and nature and exercise all in one go!
Here is a collage from our beautiful 'last day of winter' trip yesterday!
- Spring means fresh produce! I'm excited to get my own garden growing as well as find local produce! A friend will soon have fresh, tender asparagus and it won't be long before we start seeing strawberry stands bursting full of red berries! One of my favorite things about living in the Willamette Valley is the fact that I'm surrounded by farms! Drive for 15 minutes in any direction from my town and all you see is fields. It's the perfect place to live.

- One thing I'm not a fan of during Spring is allergies. My hubby has suffered with them forever, usually by June he's in urgent care because he can't breathe. The last few years, I've started experiencing some Springtime allergies and now Bug seems to have picked them as well. I think some of it can be taken care of with proper diet, but it's still a pain in the tush. We carry our 'allergy bomb' essential oil roller around everywhere (lemon, lavender, and peppermint with fractionated coconut oil) and I also have eye drops on hand. I had one day this week where the constant sneezing just zapped my energy. Thankfully the sun shining helps pick me up!

- Bug recently traded in his paper route for a bigger route. It's more work but that means more pay which is what he really cares about. I'm proud of him for taking on the responsibility, though. I just need to step back and stop 'rescuing' him when he's tired or lonely. It's HIS job, not mine!

- I'm going to take some time over the next couple weeks and really look at how much we've accomplished in school since we started the year in October. When you are in the trenches it feels like you're moving as slow as molasses. It takes stepping back a little bit to see how far you've really come. Bug and I both need to get some perspective and take pride in what has been accomplished so far. I think we might also make some goals for the rest of the year!
