Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!!

In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday & the release of the new movie based on The Lorax, Homeschool Share is having a drawing contest. They are asking that kids draw the Once-ler from the book (he's never shown to us). We don't actually own a copy of The Lorax, so we watched the dramatized reading on YouTube that HSS linked to. It was a good reading and was fun to watch with my kiddo.

Those are not spikes on his arms, it is his hair sticking out!

Bug and I discussed having a Fun-School Friday and spend the whole day doing stuff from the Lorax Unit Study, but he just wasn't that interested.  So we'll just go about with our regular plans.  Don't worry though, we'll get Fun-School Friday in this afternoon with field trip to the fire station!  We are looking forward to getting to know some new friends!
