In my life this week…
It felt like a bit of a crazy week. I'm still trying to finalize some of our plans for the year (like our reading list) and just really get on top of things. It's hard to get on top when it's moving forward, though. I'll keep working at it and pray that I eventually get there. I'd like to move on to letting my brain think on things other than school stuff. To top it all off, I managed to end the week with a cold that I'm still battling with. It's not a bad one, but enough to sap all my energy. I didn't get much done in the way of house cleaning yesterday and we've stayed home from church today. I'm praying that I feel better by Monday!
In our homeschool this week…
We started up our full schedule. It's definitely going to take some time to get a rhythm to our day, but we're on our way. In history we read about Muhammad and the beginning of the Islam religion. We followed this with most of a National Geographic documentary on the Hajj and the travel to Mecca. Although it was about modern day people, it gave some good information about the history and the ideas behind who the Muslims are.We also started up Latin, spelling, grammar & math this week. We took Wednesday off because my mom was in town and ended up making Thursday a half day because she came back down. So I can't really say how well any of those is going since we only did two days worth! I'm looking forward to really getting into stuff next week with no interruptions!
